How We Work Together at Further Athletics

At Further Athletics, we believe that clear expectations create the best environment for long-term progress. These guidelines are designed to help everything run smoothly—for you, for our coaches, and for the entire community. They allow us to focus on what matters most: helping you train consistently, safely, and with purpose.

By purchasing a membership, booking a session, or participating in our services, you agree to the following terms.

1. Our Approach

Further Athletics was built around the idea that fitness should challenge you, not intimidate you. We believe in science-based coaching, sustainable progress, individualised support, respect for different fitness levels, and community without ego.

Our goal is not simply to make you train harder. Our goal is to help you build a stronger, healthier, and more resilient version of yourself over the long term.

2. Group Classes

Our group classes are designed to accommodate participants of different fitness levels. Every session includes professional coaching, movement guidance, and scaling options where appropriate.

Participants are expected to arrive on time for class, follow the coach's instructions, respect other members and staff, use equipment responsibly, and inform coaches of any relevant injuries or limitations before training.

Further Athletics reserves the right to refuse participation to any individual whose behaviour compromises the safety or experience of others.

3. Personal Training Sessions

Personal training sessions are reserved exclusively for you and your coach. Each session is structured around your goals, needs, and current abilities.

Please arrive on time. Late arrival may reduce the duration of your session, as sessions cannot generally be extended beyond their scheduled time.

4. Booking and Scheduling

Group Classes

Members are responsible for booking their classes through the designated booking system. Availability may be limited depending on class capacity. Further Athletics reserves the right to adjust schedules, instructors, or class offerings when operationally necessary.

Personal Training

Personal training sessions are scheduled directly with your coach. Regular training times may be arranged based on mutual availability. Should a coach become unavailable, Further Athletics will make reasonable efforts to provide an alternative coach or arrange a replacement session.

5. Cancellation Policy

Group Membership – 3 Sessions per Week

Members on a 3x/week membership may cancel a reserved class up to 12 hours before the scheduled start time without losing that session. Cancellations made less than 12 hours before the class, or failure to attend without prior notice, will result in the session being counted as used.

Unlimited Memberships

Unlimited memberships allow members greater flexibility. While we encourage members to cancel bookings they cannot attend out of consideration for the community, missed sessions do not result in additional charges or penalties.

Personal Training

Personal training sessions may be rescheduled without penalty if at least 12 hours' notice is provided. Sessions cancelled with less than 12 hours' notice, or missed without notice, may be considered completed and deducted from the training package. Exceptional circumstances will always be reviewed individually.

6. Membership Payments

Memberships and training packages are paid in advance. Payment may be made through available payment methods, including bank transfer, online payment platforms, payment systems integrated with our booking software, or other payment methods offered by Further Athletics.

Failure to complete payment may result in suspension of access to services until the outstanding balance has been settled.

7. Membership Pauses

We understand that life circumstances can change. Memberships may be temporarily paused in cases such as medical reasons or extended travel.

Requests for membership pauses should be communicated to Further Athletics as early as reasonably possible. Each request will be assessed individually. Supporting documentation may be requested in certain situations.

8. Trainer Availability

In the event that a coach is unable to provide a scheduled session due to illness, emergency, or other unforeseen circumstances, Further Athletics will make reasonable efforts to arrange a substitute coach, an alternative appointment time, or another suitable solution.

If no suitable alternative can be arranged, the affected session will not be charged.

9. Health and Safety

Your safety is important to us. Participants are responsible for informing Further Athletics of any injuries, medical conditions, physical limitations, changes in health status, or other circumstances that may affect their ability to participate safely in exercise.

Participation in physical activity involves inherent risks. While Further Athletics takes reasonable steps to provide a safe training environment and appropriate coaching, clients ultimately remain responsible for exercising within their own capabilities and seeking medical advice when appropriate.

Further Athletics reserves the right to modify exercises, recommend alternative approaches, or decline participation where safety concerns arise.

10. Open Gym Use

Members using the Open Gym facilities are expected to use equipment responsibly, follow all safety instructions, return equipment to its designated place after use, maintain cleanliness within the facility, and respect other members and staff.

Further Athletics reserves the right to suspend access to members who repeatedly fail to comply with these expectations.

11. Membership Changes and Price Adjustments

Further Athletics may update membership structures, schedules, or pricing from time to time. Members will be informed of any significant changes in advance. Updated pricing will generally apply to future billing periods.

12. Ending Your Membership

You may end your membership at any time. We kindly ask that you notify Further Athletics before the start of the next billing period to prevent renewal or future charges. There are no long notice periods or hidden conditions.

Our aim is to build relationships based on trust and positive experiences.

13. Photography and Video

Photographs and videos may occasionally be taken within the facility for marketing, educational, or community purposes. Such recordings will only be used with your consent.

If you prefer not to appear in photographs or videos, simply let a member of our team know. Your preference will always be respected.

14. Communication

Operational information relating to memberships, bookings, schedule changes, and other service-related matters may be communicated through email, telephone, PushPress, official social media channels, or other communication methods used by Further Athletics.

Members are responsible for ensuring that their contact details remain accurate and up to date.

15. Final Note

These guidelines are not about control. They are about creating a training environment built on clarity, mutual respect, consistency, and trust. They help us maintain the quality of coaching and community that you chose Further Athletics for.

Most importantly, they allow you to focus on what truly matters: your progress, your health, and your journey. Thank you for choosing to train with Further Athletics. Let's build something sustainable—together.
